TRIBIA · Spanish for Women

Conversation group (A2)

Al calor de la hoguera

You live in Spain, you understand Spanish… but speaking still feels hard. And you’re tired of always being the one who just listens.

It’s time to change that.

This group is designed to help you finally speak, not just understand.

Only 4 spots · 12 weeks · Starting October 7th

You understand some Spanish. But when it’s your turn to speak, you go quiet

🍃 You let your partner speak for you.
🍃 You smile when you don’t fully understand.
🍃 You nod, then think of the right words two minutes too late.
🍃 You’re afraid of making mistakes, getting stuck mid-sentence, or being a bother.

You tell yourself you’ll practice more Spanish. Then life gets busy, and… we know how it ends.

The truth?

Only real practice will make you speak. And no, you’re not bad at languages.

You’ve been living in your English bubble, and it feels comfortable. But you’ve never had the space to speak Spanish beyond the transactional (restaurants, shops, supermarkets…), so you stay there.

But what you actually want is to finally start speaking Spanish, connecting with people, and finding your voice.

Because you didn’t come to Spain to just live in English.

It’s time to change that.

This is what other women who are already part of TRIBIA say:

How we’re going to make it happen

Stop chasing perfect Spanish, stop waiting for the perfect moment.
Start speaking with confidence instead.

You’ve lived in Spain for a while now. You feel like you should already be speaking by this point. But without real structure and guidance, that «should» never quite happens.

Your Tribe

Weekly live
sessions

12 weeks, one 55-minute live session a week, in a group of four. Small enough that you can speak and get personalized feedback, while still sharing the space with other women. One topic each week (food, travel, hobbies, life in Spain, life style…). This isn’t about explaining grammar or correcting every sentence. It’s about talking, listening, and connecting.

Your Rhythm

Learning platform

Grammar videos, interactive activities, and vocabulary resources, available whenever you need them. And you won’t be guessing what to focus on: you’ll get weekly recommendations on exactly what to work on there. Reinforce things at your own pace, without depending on the live session to improve.

Your Voice

WhatsApp challenges

Weekly WhatsApp challenges through voice messages, with personalized feedback and corrections. To keep your Spanish alive between sessions.
And a WhatsApp group to ask questions anytime.

Four women. A weekly space to talk.
One goal: to finally speak.

This is not another classroom of 10 or 15 people where you get two minutes of talking time, if that, while the loudest person in the room takes over.

Al calor de la hoguera, «by the warmth of the fire», is a small circle, a real conversation, with the warmth of not being the only one finding her way in Spanish.

By the end of these 12 weeks, you’ll be able to…

✔ Hold a conversation without stopping to think every two words.
✔ Take part in a conversation, even with imperfect Spanish.
✔ Actually enjoy a chat with a Spanish neighbor or shop assistant, not just survive it.
✔ Feel proud of yourself for what you’ve said, not embarrassed by how you said it.
✔ Feel less like a tourist, and more like yourself, in Spanish.

What the women who are already part of TRIBIA say:

I wanted to speak more freely, and let go of everything having to be perfect.
Before, if I talked to Spanish people, they’d talk and talk, and I understood, but the conversation was mostly them. Now it’s actually a conversation, not a monologue.
Sending voice messages was the most useful part, it forced me to speak. At the beginning I’d take notes before recording. By the end, I just sent something. That’s a huge step.

— Carina

I used to freeze the moment people started speaking Spanish to me, my brain would just go empty. Now I just talk, I can make mistakes, and that’s just how I learn.
The live sessions feel almost like talking to a friend, not a classroom. That’s what makes it easier to be open and not afraid of making mistakes. I catch myself knowing more than I thought I would after 12 weeks.

— Franzi

My knowledge of Spanish was limited to the bare minimum. I struggled switching from English to Spanish in day-to-day conversations, and the fear of making mistakes was often stronger than me. Things changed with María’s classes. Spanish stopped being just a tool to order a coffee, and became a language I could actually live in. Today, I work and live in Spanish.

— Martina

I started with zero Spanish. My last teacher had actually told me it ‘just wasn’t for me.’ A few months later, I can hold small conversations, read basic things, and get by in everyday situations, mistakes and all.
It feels like a real safe space, I don’t feel bad making mistakes, you just correct me, and I can take it in from there. I didn’t stay for the price or the convenience. I stayed because I felt truly comfortable, and I knew I was in good hands.

— Jessica

I started at A2. A year later, I can talk about topics like ecology or the economy, things I couldn’t have touched a year ago.
Sending voice messages instead of writing helped me the most. When you write, you overthink it. With voice notes, you prepare a little, but it’s not a full script, so I still have to think it through myself, in real time. That’s exactly what pushed me forward.

— Anna

I really like the vibe in our class, because it’s only girls. We can talk about other things too, not just grammar. I really like our community.
I really enjoyed these lessons. It doesn’t feel like lessons, it’s just like hanging around, talking, and learning something new.
Now I always try to speak to local people, and it’s great to see that people understand me.

— Kim

Don’t wait until you’re ready to start speaking Spanish. You get ready by speaking.

¡Hola, soy María!

What’s better than a Spanish teacher? One who’s been in your shoes.

In 2013, I packed my bags and moved abroad for the first time.

Since then, life has taught me to get by in four languages and three countries. That journey made me realize something: when you speak the language of the place where you live, everything changes. You feel freer, more independent, and much more yourself.

That’s why I decided to guide other women through their own Spanish journey. I started by teaching in schools for six years, and later created TRIBIA. Because I discovered that the perfect Spanish from textbooks does little good if it doesn’t help you communicate in real life.

Today, what I enjoy most is getting to know each woman’s story, listening to her challenges, and walking alongside her so she feels a little more herself every day… in Spanish too.
