One-to-one Spanish program for women living in Spain
Your Voice, Your Rhythm
A program made just for you that follows your rhythm.
You want to feel confident and feel like yourself in Spain. Speaking Spanish helps you with that.
It’s time to speak about the topics that matter to you. In Spanish.
Speak before you feel ready
Maybe you’ve been in Spain for a while. You’ve tried apps, textbooks, even classes. You understand a lot, but outside of shops and restaurants, you still live in your English bubble.
Or maybe you’ve just arrived. Spanish still sounds fast and far away, and you don’t know where to start.
Either way, studying more won’t make you speak. You don’t need years of grammar before you open your mouth.
Spanish is not a school subject. It’s a tool to communicate, connect and start belonging. And like any tool, you learn it by using it.
The principle is simple: the more you speak Spanish, the easier it gets. That’s why everything in this program gets you speaking. Every single week.
Speak before you feel ready
You learn to speak by speaking.
Mistakes are welcome here
This is your refugio lingüístico.
Mistakes are welcome here
You have a lot of Spanish in your head. But in the middle of a conversation, what comes up isn’t the language. It’s the fear.
At school, we learned that mistakes are punished. That you have to get it right to get a good grade. So now, making a mistake in front of someone feels embarrassing.
I’ve seen it in my students for ten years. And I’ve felt it myself, living abroad.
And yet, mistakes are exactly how you learn to speak. Every mistake shows us what to work on next. That’s how your Spanish grows.
That’s why our sessions are your refugio lingüístico: a safe space where imperfect Spanish is welcome. And the confidence you build here comes with you to the bakery, the doctor, the dinner with friends.
Your life is the lesson plan
In most courses, the textbook decides what you talk about. Unit 5: the weather. Unit 6: the past tense.
Here, you decide.
At the start, we set your goals together. Going to the doctor or the hairdresser on your own, a whole dinner with your partner’s family without him translating, or saying more than just «hola» to your neighbours.
And what’s happening in your life matters: that friend’s birthday you went to last week, the gynaecologist appointment you have next week. The topics you need for your daily life.
Stop chasing perfect Spanish. Start speaking with confidence instead.
You don’t need more apps or more grammar books. You need structure, guidance and a lot of speaking.
Live sessionswith me
Improve your Spanish through conversations with me, like the ones you’d have with your neighbour, the woman at the bakery, a colleague or a friend. Twelve 40-minute sessions that are all yours. After each session, you get personalised feedback: new words, corrections and what to review. Many of my students tell me it feels like talking to a friend. That’s the point. The confidence you build with me is the one you take to your life outside the program.
Keep improving between sessions
Every week, you get something in Spanish to watch, read or listen to: a short video lesson, a text, an audio, a song. Then comes the most important part: you speak. You answer short challenges about your own life with WhatsApp voice messages, and every voice message gets my feedback.
A few minutes a day, a few days a week. That’s how Spanish becomes part of your routine, instead of something you do once a week and then forget.
Learning platform
All my lessons are on a learning platform: grammar videos and slides, audio, visual vocabulary, interactive activities and 100 extra voice challenges. Ready whenever you want to review something or go further, without waiting for the next session. Along the way, you discover all those little cultural details textbooks never teach you. The ones you only learn when you share your life with a native speaker. Questions between live sessions? Send me a WhatsApp.
I’m the map: I give you the structure, the tools and the feedback, and I change the route when we need to. But you’re the one driving.
By the end of these 12 weeks, you’ll…
✔ Join in conversations more often, instead of just listening. ✔ Feel more comfortable making mistakes in Spanish. ✔ Make speaking Spanish part of your routine. ✔ Use your Spanish in the situations that matter to you, from ordering a coffee to chatting with your neighbours. ✔ Speak for yourself more often, instead of letting your partner do all the talking. ✔ Send voice messages in Spanish with more confidence each time. ✔ Feel less like a tourist in Spain, and more like yourself, in Spanish.
What the women who are already part of TRIBIA say:
I wanted to speak more freely, and let go of everything having to be perfect. Before, if I talked to Spanish people, they’d talk and talk, and I understood, but the conversation was mostly them. Now it’s actually a conversation, not a monologue. Sending voice messages was the most useful part, it forced me to speak. At the beginning I’d take notes before recording. By the end, I just sent something. That’s a huge step.
— Carina
I used to freeze the moment people started speaking Spanish to me, my brain would just go empty. Now I just talk, I can make mistakes, and that’s just how I learn. The live sessions feel almost like talking to a friend, not a classroom. That’s what makes it easier to be open and not afraid of making mistakes. I catch myself knowing more than I thought I would after 12 weeks.
— Franzi
My knowledge of Spanish was limited to the bare minimum. I struggled switching from English to Spanish in day-to-day conversations, and the fear of making mistakes was often stronger than me. Things changed with María’s classes. Spanish stopped being just a tool to order a coffee, and became a language I could actually live in. Today, I work and live in Spanish.
— Martina
I started with zero Spanish. My last teacher had actually told me it ‘just wasn’t for me.’ A few months later, I can hold small conversations, read basic things, and get by in everyday situations, mistakes and all. It feels like a real safe space, I don’t feel bad making mistakes, you just correct me, and I can take it in from there. I stayed because I felt truly comfortable, and I knew I was in good hands.
— Jessica
I started at A2. A year later, I can talk about topics like ecology or the economy, things I couldn’t have touched a year ago. Sending voice messages instead of writing helped me the most. When you write, you overthink it. With voice notes, you prepare a little, but it’s not a full script, so I still have to think it through myself, in real time. That’s exactly what pushed me forward.
— Anna
I really like the vibe in our class. We can talk about other things too, not just grammar. It doesn’t feel like lessons, it’s just like hanging around, talking, and learning new things. Now I always try to speak to local people, and it’s great to see that people understand me.
— Kim
Don’t wait until you’re ready to start speaking Spanish. You get ready by speaking.
What’s better than a Spanish teacher? One who’s been in your shoes.
In 2013, I packed my bags and moved abroad for the first time. Since then, life has taught me to get by in four languages and three countries. That journey made me realise something: when you speak the language of the place where you live, life becomes much easier. You feel freer, more independent, and you start finding your voice in a new language.
That’s why I decided to guide other women through their own Spanish journey. I have a master’s degree in teaching Spanish, and I’ve spent ten years teaching people living in Spain, in language schools and in companies like EF, Glovo, N26 or Volkswagen. Along the way, I created TRIBIA, because I discovered that the perfect Spanish from textbooks does little good if it doesn’t help you communicate in real life.
Today, what I enjoy most is getting to know each woman’s story, listening to her challenges, and walking alongside her so she feels a little more herself every day… in Spanish too.
I have a purpose: helping women feel confident and independent in Spanish.
You’ve got questions?
I have answers!
Is this program for my level?
I work with all levels, and especially with women between A1 and B1. We adapt everything to where you are right now, even if you’re starting from zero.
What level will I reach after 12 weeks?
Twelve weeks won’t take you from one level to the next, and any program promising that isn’t being honest with you. It depends on your starting point and the time you put into it. What you will notice: less hesitation, faster reactions, and feeling more at ease in everyday conversations.
How much time do I need each week?
One 40-minute live session, plus around one hour a week for your Spanish between sessions: what you watch, read or listen to, and your voice challenges. That’s enough to see real progress. Like any skill, the more time you give it, the faster it grows.
What are the weekly WhatsApp challenges?
Every week, you get two or three short speaking challenges connected to your life in Spain. You answer each one with a WhatsApp voice message, and you can do it whenever and wherever it suits you: having a coffee, on the bus, walking your dog. At the beginning, it might be telling me what you like and don’t like, or making small talk about the weather where you live. Later on, you’ll share your opinion on topics like beauty standards or social media, or tell me about something that happened to you. They’re always connected to what we’re working on that week, and to what you need in your life in Spain. You always get examples and useful phrases to help you start, and every voice message gets my feedback. Why voice messages? Because when you write, you overthink. When you speak, you learn to react in real time, just like in a real conversation.
What does «personalised feedback» mean?
It means I respond to what you say, at your level and in a way that works for you. After each live session, you get a summary with new words, corrections and what to review. And for every voice message, I reply (often with a voice message too): sometimes with another question to keep the conversation going, sometimes with what you did well, things we can work on now, or how to say it more naturally. I don’t correct every single thing, just what makes sense and helps you move forward at each stage.
What if my schedule changes or I go on holiday?
You choose when we meet: the same day and time every week, or a different one each week. If you need to reschedule a live session, let me know at least 24 hours in advance and we’ll find another time. Every session is prepared just for you, so with less than 24 hours’ notice, it will count as completed. And if you go on holiday, we can pause the program for one or two weeks.
Can I get a refund?
The program is non-refundable. That’s exactly why we have our chat first: to make sure it’s the right fit for you before you join. And if life gets busy, remember you can reschedule a session or pause the program for one or two weeks.
What happens in our chat, «un café con María»?
It’s a free, relaxed chat, no strings attached. You tell me about your Spanish and your life in Spain, and together we see how I can help you.
For every woman trying to feel like herself in Spanish,
